Synopsis
"Manon" is an opera based on the novel by French author Antoine François Prévost. The story revolves around the beautiful young woman Manon Lescaut and her love affair with the young Chevalier des Grieux. Manon abandons her life as a devout nun to embark on a new life with des Grieux. However, her desires for wealth and power lead her into the harsh realities of the world, ultimately determining the tragic fate of her and the young man who loves her. The opera delves into themes of true love, female desire, and the allure of wealth and power, creating a compelling drama with poignant music and rich characters that captivate audiences.
