SYNOPSIS
Rigoletto, the court jester, and his daughter Gilda are at the heart of this tale of love and vengeance.
Rigoletto, working in the court, dedicates himself to shielding his daughter, Gilda, from the outside world. Gilda, sheltered and innocent, is raised under her father's vigilant care. However, her spirited nature leads her to fall for the charming yet treacherous Duke, who holds sway over the court's women.
As Gilda becomes entangled in a romance with the Duke, unaware of his true nature, the plot thickens. Duke, a notorious womaniser, reciprocates Gilda's affections while pursuing other women at court. Alongside Duke's schemes are Sparafucile, his sinister henchman, and Maddalena, Sparafucile's sister.
Themes of love, desire, revenge, and familial conflict drive the narrative forward, with Verdi's evocative music and the operatic genre's dramatic conventions heightening the emotional impact on audiences.

I worked as an Assistant director on this project.
